Today’s post is about a cured case of severe itching of a female patient who was cured with homeopathic medicines Sulphur 1M and X-Ray 30C. Chief Complaints of Patient:
Patient visited with her mother. She was suffering from severe itching on skin. There was no specific region, itching kept on changing places. Scratching was giving temporary relief. She had to scratch continuously and sometimes the patient scratches so much that blood oozes from the skin. Skin becomes red due to itching.

What Mental and Physical Symptoms Were Noted During Case Taking?
Case taking is very important for proper diagnosing and curing diseases. During case taking following symptoms were collected by observation and asking questions:
1- The palms of hands and soles of feet were very hot.
2- Patient was afraid of taking shower because itching becomes intense after taking shower.
3- Patient was thermally hot. Symptoms were aggravated in hot weather and due to warmth of bed.
4- Patient was irritable due to severe itching.
5- There were very small red colored spots on skin due to itching.
6- There was burning (heat sensation) along with itching.
What Homeopathic Medicines Were Selected Based on Above Skin Symptoms:
Above symptoms were a clear indication of homeopathic medicine Sulphur. The key symptoms of Sulphur are severe itching with burning sensation that increases with warmth and after taking bath. The heat of palms and soles of feet also confirmed the selection of remedy.
What Was Feedback of Patient After Taking Sulphur 1M:
As a first prescription a single dose of Sulphur 1M was given to patient. Patient was asked to revisit after 10 days. After 10 days about 70% of symptoms were improved. Patient was very relaxed. I waited for another 3-4 days, but condition was not improving further.
As improvement was stopped, I had to repeat the medicine, increase its potency or change medicine. You may know that Sulphur is a deep acting homeopathic medicine and its repetition can cause aggravation. That’s why idea of repeating it or increasing potency was dropped.
Why X-Ray 30C Was Prescribed After Sulphur 1M?
I selected another homeopathic remedy X-Ray 30C. This remedy works great in skin cases and can complete the curative effect of previous medicines. A single dose of X-Ray 30C was given to patient. After 7 days, patient was 100% cured. There was no more itching and redness of skin. Another good news was that patient was no more afraid of taking shower.
